Interesting. The writing style is so different than other books, but once I realized why, I really enjoyed the change. Was not expecting to be this interested in a somewhat corny fantasy book.

So far, I like it more than Edgedancer. Just feel more attached to the larger story and other characters.

Slow so far (like the first book) but building really interesting arc’s. The black thorn being as ruthless as he was, almost scared of himself and the parshmen feeling like the better species. Even though it is slow, no storylines are boring IMO.

Pretty incredible so far. I usually struggle with these fantasy type books because it takes so long to set up the world but this one somehow has been interesting from the jump and keeps getting better. So many great characters already too.

Good books so far. It is certainly repetitive and oddly written but there have been some parts that I feel are applicable to my life and are immediately helpful.

Ohhh man it’s heating up. Book was somewhat difficult to get into becuase it was setting a scene for 300 pages it felt like (and a boring scene at that) but it has sense set that group on to a journey with complex dynamics within the group as well as a completely different (almost) storyline that has split in two also. Each page is engaging now.

Strangely intriguing. Nothing has really happened (until the last chapter) but the author paints such a good picture each conversation that is had is interesting. Might help that I am listening though.

Not very well written, but for whatever reason, it does have me feeling motivated to improve, so I suppose it’s done its job.
