I don't think I have what it takes to finish this! I'm just not that fascinated, even though it is a great window into Renaissance court life and dates to that time.

It's gotten better after a slow start. I am now interested in doing a bit of research about the birth of the modern Italian nation.

So far I am adoring the protagonist, Fiona. So well developed. I put the book down as I am at a critical juncture, and want to make sure I finish the book without any distractions.

I stopped reading it early on. Too unrealistic. Maybe I'll go back to it one day.

I haven't been swept up yet by this book. I have put in back on the shelf for now. I hope to pick it up again.

Ethel finished The Patrick Melrose Novels.

Each story stands well on it's own do far, but taken as a group there is a sameness to them that makes them a bit tedious.
