As much as he is a good writer, it’s a little tiresome to hear ideas of religious nationalism shine through at points, when it is exactly what he is arguing against.
Sometimes I feel that Tharoor’s reading of history imagines an ideal of India rather than the reality of post-partition state. It’s minor, but frustrating
