Really like it so far. I saw Firefly Lane series and it’s easy to see the characters in the book which is a sequel or follow up to FL.

Definitely not a feel good book. Well written though and very descriptive. So awful to realize this really happened.

So awful to read what these people went through. This is not just a book. It’s a literary nightmare (that I can’t put down).

My job is severely interrupting my reading time! I’m sure I’ll finish this today. I think I might be figuring out what happened and I’m anxious to find out if I’m right.

So far so good. Not sure it’s going to be a thriller - but at least a good mystery so far!

Definitely a book I can’t put down but at the same time it’s very disturbing… I almost feel as uncomfortable reading this as Lowen feels about reading Verity’s manuscript…

Copying this review from someone else because I totally agree. The concept is brilliant. BUT way too many characters that were often not relevant. I keep thinking it’s about to get juicy - I would get a hint of it - then nothing happened. Very disappointing novel to read. Hard to believe it came from this author who I love.

I’m abandoning this book. Way too disturbing and graphic. I can watch Dateline all day long but reading page after page of horrible torture and abuse is too much. Plus I think is writing is awful. Too many good books out there!

This book is disturbing and I’m sure I don’t know half of what’s about to happen. I know by reading reviews it’s going to be a hard book to read because of the subject matter. What I don’t like so far though is how the author writes. It reads like a high schooler’s short story. The writing is not cohesive at all. I’m curious what happens so I’ll stick with it but IMHO Gregg is NOT a good writer.
