Can't seem to get into it right now

Hmmm 21 pages in and scratching my head. So far this story is a little all over the place, as the summary mentions. Just not sure this one will make it to the end. Will see.

This book has started strong. It definitely has me thinking about the book when I have to take breaks.

Hmmm, getting a little offbrand for CoHo. Let's see where this goes.

Love love loving this book so far!

My least favorite of this series and the other Percy Jackson books. It is very dark, more violent and descriptive, and I feel the descriptions in this one are more young adult than juvenile. There is too much focus on love interests and feelings that again isn't necessary for younger audiences. I was really looking forward to this one because the 7 are finally together. Guess we will see how it all comes together

I only meant to get this one started since I have a few others I'm listening to at the moment, but I'm invested. The situation with Brenda and Silvie has me mentally yelling but definitely want to know this is going! There is a side story about a missing girl but so far the POVs are Silvie and Brenda with a random undisclosed character as well as the police as they are investigating Ellie's disappearance.

I'm not sure if Im going to finish this one. I feel like both characters are very whiny and feel no connection to them. I hate not finishing because, overall, I just enjoy reading/listening to the storylines, even if (in the case of contemporary romance/newadult) they are all very repetitive. But usually something about the characters draws me in and these 2 are not cutting it. 😔

Like ot but taking a break from some other books right now. But will finish.

The first 5 minutes is already amazing. Listening to the audio of this book to hopefully get motivated!

I'm not too far in but this specific book is giving me This is giving me Matt Haig feels of Life Impossible or Rebecca Serle with One Italian Summer. (both books I thoroughly enjoyed). I know completely different books but so far with what has happened that's how my mind is connecting these. Only time will tell the outcome.

Why is this feeling like a mean girls scenario? Why is Alice such a push over with Julie and so lenient with her completely absent husband? And, obviously, there is something suspicious with the neighbors. The main character is getting on my nerves, but I can't not continue...
