The fact that I’ve gotten this far into this very long book speaks to just how well and engaging it is. Everything happening within this history makes me so so angry, but I can’t look away. I can never hear about Harvey Milks death and the subsequent trial of Dan white and not lose a little (or a lot) faith in all of humanity. God the world could have been so different.

I’m enjoying this but genuinely every other line is just repeating word for word what the author said in the last paragraph. Just read two chapters in a row that said the exact same thing just phrased differently. It’s making me lose my mind.

just read the words ‘kombucha girl’ and had to check when this was published i was so jarring

the last 25% of this book ruined it. that man so should not get a second chance that easily.

I've come to the conclusion that I should just completely expectations of the books I am reading, cause how come every time I'm excited for a book its mid and every I impulsively pick one up its the greatest book of my life!?

it makes me so sad that i LOVED me before you however the other two jojo moyes books i’ve read just haven’t been very enjoyable for me. to me it seems like misery porn and i read books for the escapism.
