Dont know what I think of it sofar. A sort of eeriness and dread in every page.

It’s a book that I find hard to follow, both regarding the plot and the prose. But after confiding with my friend which gave me this book, I will read it in the context that it’s more about the exploration of post-counter culture America and Reaganmics. So far, one thing I have loved it is entertaining as hell.

‘No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All thing of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes. So, he whispered to the sleeping boy, I have you.’ P.55

The way he writes is breathtaking.

bleak, but simplar than I was expecting so far. i feel less lost in the beautiful language, descriptions and dialouge as other McCarthy stories, but rather lost in the vivid tone and bleak hopeless love. excited to see where this goes
