Its very hard to enjoy an okay book about being sad when you constantly compare, allude and reference books that our more iconic, better written and enjoyable than the book you are currently reading.

Perhaps the constant bell jar references are to avoid being compared or a tongue and cheek way of being like oh i know its like the bell jar haha. But whatever the point is its not working.

I don’t know if im smart enough for this book

This book could be amazingly cathartic, good soapy, cry of a medical/courtroom drama. However i feel like at times this author is falling prey to the same issues her family does and completely forgets about Anna. I do not care about cambell. Or his ex gf ( at least 10 years ago )his chapters are a slog. Whatever they are building to idc bc the conflict is so disconnected from main plot/family.
