I’ve been interested in this one for a while, and the Widow’s Bay fixation has led me to finally pick it up. A fun and quick read so far!

Not my usual type of story, but I’m giving it a fair shake since it’s for a book club. But… even for some good old fashioned fictional entertainment, I could never understand caring THIS MUCH about a celebrity’s life

I hardly remember the show, and I never watched the whole thing. What I do vaguely remember, I don’t recall enjoying this much. First chapter was a GREAT hook

i wasn’t gonna read this. i have no preconceived opinion, it’s just been a book i see in stores and think “maybe”. with the movie releasing next week, and curiosity from a mix of (book) reviews, i’m gonna read along with the audiobook. i don’t listen to audiobooks or podcasts, but this is regarded as a must-listen—recommended instead of reading. i’m (mostly) at the recording’s pace, so we shall see
