This is the first novel I have read of hers after seeing so many people enjoy her writing. I have a feeling I'm right on the verge of the twist I did not see coming....

I've been reading this for forever because of well, life. But I love it. Jean Shepherd's imagery is next to none.

Piper (9) and Silas (5) LOVE this book so far! Very entertaining writing style. Ellen Potter must remember very clearly what it's like to be a kid for her to portray it through these characters so well. It's a hoot!

I'm loving being back to my fiction world!!

I missed reading this book while I was struggling to get through "The Year of Living Danishly!!" I missed my Lauren Oliver futuristic fiction!

Things are definitely getting better! It was a little blah at first, but it's more interesting to me now that she and Lego Man have become more established and her journalistic adventures have taken her more places!

It's about time I finish this book!!

This was such a descriptive audiobook! I loved listening to it as much as I would have enjoyed reading it which is rare for me. Now I really want to listen to "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson.

I love the description and imagery. I can visualize and almost smell how fresh and green a bit chilly Scotland is. Her description of Birmingham is also so detailed that I can put myself right in the spot she is illustrating. So far this has been a very enjoyable book. I'm looking forward to hear how it all ties together and ends.

So far I'm enjoying listening to the transition from her busy London flat to a very quiet, rural, seaside, Danish home where she will try to learn the art of Hygge. Most Danish folk possess this naturally due to their upbringing, but she is determined to figure out how to live Danishly and appreciate her new lifestyle and surroundings. Decent so far.

So far this is a very charming book about Nina, who lost her job as a librarian in England, bought a huge van in Scotland, and renovated it while moving to Scotland, into a magical bookshop on wheels. She has just taken her first trip into town after having the mobile bookshop completed and found that the townsfolk really enjoyed her as much as she enjoyed finding the perfect novel for them.

I couldn't find the audiobook version, but I'm listening to this and not reading it. So far, I am not hooked on her style. It could be the narrator or it could be the negative/cynical vibe I get from her adventures. Perhaps it is supposed to be that way. I will keep listening, but mostly because I don't quit something I've started, and it's for a reading challenge through the public library.

This is not disappointing so far!

SO GOOD. I really enjoy the back and forth between Then and Now. Can't wait to keep reading and see how it ends. :)

It is taking forever to read as a bedtime story, but we are slowly making our way through!

A little slow so far, their sons have barely been mentioned. I hope it picks up soon.
