i can see why this book failed as tv show

in awe of this book but paused during the sem bc it has so much abuse towards women my god. like in a look how normalized this thing is kind of way which made me want to get hospitalized. mama spoiled it by saying it gets gay tho so im looking forward to that.

ive always known that sg was spiritual but never rly considered that it would be a setting for ghost stories (partly bc i dont believe in their existence). so reading abt that part of the community has been sick but at the same time i cannot take uncle kishore fearing abt the ghost of ang mo kio srsly.
