it’s good but not measuring up to Boy Swallows Universe (so far). Dalton’s writing is just as masterful but the characters and story aren’t as relatable and compelling.

Needs more Cathy less men babbling on about biblical nonsense.

Tedious so far. Books told from a child’s POV get annoying quick. Especially when they kids speak in riddles and redneck poetry.

enjoying this one so far, it reminds me of The Elementals

Moving at a choppy, breakneck pace through her early life and rise to pop icon status. So far it’s underwhelming me and I’m struggling to want to pick it up.
