I keep forgetting to update because I read this in small bursts multiple points in a day, every day. But wow.

The second half of this book has been incredible.

Martin constantly inviting death to dinner. Arutha finally taking charge. Tomas’ dreaming of a time long past and Milamber?!

Oh Milamber. You beautiful bastard.

I see where George R R Martin got the Many Faced God & the Three Eyed Raven from.

Borrowing this at a friends house, will leave it here and just read it when I visit. it’s a beautiful book and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Lots of interesting points. Particularly enjoyed the advice of mindset change from “what am I getting?” To “what should I be?”

What a chapter!!! Favourite section of the book so far. Martin Longbow is fast becoming my favourite character with his sharp humour that never fades. Amos Trask was a fantastic addition to the group, as well as Tchakatchakalla. (“Call him Charles” - Martin 😂) Enjoying this a lot more now and will probably go pick it up again tonight

Starting to get juiccyyy.

Tomas is hallucinatin’. Pug is realm divin’. All the beautiful world building is starting to come together.

So far, it’s been a slow but good read. My fave bits are Pug & the boy’s enjoying the remainder of their dwindling childhoods now that they have accepted their apprenticeships.

My least fave bits are when it’s: Tolkien-fantasy-but-just-not-as-good. Beautiful elven Queens that are 100 years older than they look, stubborn underground dwarves etc.

Excited for more relatable human moments that Pug give us. :)
