John marrs is a genius author ! So unique & utterly gripping

I’m hoping it’s second time lucky for me and this author - I really didn’t rate beach read more than 1/1.5 stars and really didn’t care an inch for it - so I’m giving her another go and heading for the latest book which has a great write up pretty much over the entire book verse !

It’s got a lot of character development and great representation of Alzheimer’s/ Vascular dementia…. But usually by the get go J.M has me turning the pages at the ridiculous rate I can manage - but this just hasn’t yet - I want to know what’s happened and what the main character Connie will do next - but it’s not as gripping as I was hoping

I’m really REALLY struggling to get into this - it’s just too much high school feels - too many characters to start in the first 40 pages where I’m getting extremely confused - I honestly am not feeling this yet - I’ll give it a little more and if it’s not living upto the hype I’m dnf !

All the swearing was putting me off a promising story
When I’m reading about friends to lovers in a book I get annoyed and switch off when it’s supposed to be a scene that is nice and it keeps on with the ‘f%*k’ on and on.
I by no means am against books with colourful language when it fits the narrative ! This just didn’t

Honestly don’t care for the characters/ plot! I think for now this is in the DNF pile - maybe one day I’ll come back to it but it’s a library book so off it goes back !

Promising so far - nice short chapters making it easy to read in little snippets

I’m not a huge Colleen H fan as I just found the books were overhyped - but ….. this is Very page turney (I am aware that’s not a word but you so want to keep turning !) so far soooo promising !

I love Percy and sam - friends to lovers written so well - between their childhood love to the ‘now ‘ and then rediscovering their everything again as 30 somethings. Very readable and very much a page Turner

Honestly there’s not one nice character in this
To put it mildly they are HORRENDOUS human beings that you just hate !
That being said I do want to continue to see how it pans out but just be prepared that you literally would hate every single person in this at this stage . Despise even
