this might actually be the saddest book in the entire series

I fell asleep and woke up halfway through the book and there has been almost zero plot movement. Its a little boring but i wanna finish it to be finished so here i am

utterly devastating book series. however i do love it when authors aren't afraid to get creatively dark when working with/around kids. manages to create a still terrifying reality that makes me question what rick riordan could do if he got rid of the pg 13 rating for percy jackson but still left out any sex

im so glad someone convinced marie to come to her senses and rectify that ending from champion. no need for me to be crying in my bed tn listening to my favourite characters finally get it together without the threat of death or ruined life hanging over them

i HATE marie lu so much. i hate how beautifully she writes n how easily she can make me cry over these stupid characters and i hate how much i feel for them and want them to win. ugh she sucks sooo much theres no reason i should be sobbing in my bed at 7:30am like this

i love marie lu so much. im beyond grateful that ive lost so much memory of this book series that i can read it again 4 ish years later and still be surprised by the twists

i knowww its technically not incest but this millie/jonah tension that karen's setting up feels so weird since they're supposed to be acting like cousins anyways

im immediately pissed off they literally landed in their destination at the end of the last book and set up the plot, now ur telling me they've just jumped and dont know where they are or whay they have to fix? also sacagawea? WHEN DID WE MEET HER? WDYM THEY JUST SAW HER. DO THESE AUTHORS NOT HAVE A GC WHERE THEY POP IN AND GO "hey btw did this happen in ur book?" SO I DONT HAVE TO TRY AND PIECE TOGETHER THE PLOT??

it feels like this author read the first three books and completely skipped the fourth one, instead choosing to read half of a non spoiler summary of it cause the disconnect is jarring

it feels like the author forgot what they wrote for the last book cause theres an insane disconnect between the ending of the last book and the beginning of this one. collaborative series's only works when the authors READ THE OTHER BOOKS FIRST
