took a break from my long ass fantasy book to read the newest book of maybe my fav author, I looove the way lily king writes, and this book has GOOPED and GAGGED me. When I tell you SO many elements of this is so similar to my college experience. Also i’m pissed because i’ve gotten very comfortable with the idea of not having love but this book just put the YEARN back in me and now im rly upset and want a bf FUCK

currently only on chapter 6 but i’m feelin v suspicious of this book already…is this freaking book going to be about fisher + carrion mainly? and taladaius? am I going to have to trudge thru hundreds of pages about random other men instead of getting ROMANCE between saeris and KF? why do her chapters feel like afterthoughts…
and I swear to god…if it turns into a love triangle…i’m suing for my $33 back

ali hazelwood is the horniest women on earth and I thank god for her

So I understand how this was so hot when it first came out cuz it was her first book but reading this last deff highlights the flops in this story, it’s just obvious how much better of a writer she became with all her new stories and this one is pretty bland compared, also their tension is just not that tense for me personally. still love tho and love ali hazelwood she’s the only thing keeping me sane rn

I mean at this point ali hazelwood is an instant read. I really REALLY wanted to avoid the charms of the romances w cartoon people kissing on the front….but i’m just like every other bitch. Obsessed with jack so far. Elsie needs to stand up though and gain some self confidence.

I am literally the meme of the werewolf ripping off his shirt into shreds while reading this. ali hazelwood KNOWS how to create tension goddamn I need lowe bad. also it’s rly funny and written well! i’ll have to read more by her

so far it’s or my favorite there is sooooo much description of the freaking sailing and like how the boats work and the politics im like boooored as hell, the romance is fun but don’t think i’ll read the other books

completely understand why this got a pulitzer prize so far it’s soooo good

bro I had no idea what was going on at the beginning or who anyone was. i’m enjoying it more than book 2 rn tho! except there’s still a lot of details where im like uhhh what the heck is going on. xaden is hot as always

re-reading this book from youth today at my all day read-a-thon with my besties and forgot how good it is. very quirky and weird and great premise and written rly well tbh. can’t wait to find out how it ends cuz I remember nothing about it

this is taking actually forever to read because it triggers my depression so bad as a situationship survivor and someone with ISSUES
anyway determined to finish soon so I can start throne of glass. maybe I should ask my psych for a higher dose of lexapro also. much love to my ladies.
