so i really wanted to participate in those reading challenges and all i have to do is read ‘on earth we are briefly gorgeous’ but idk if i can now that i have less than 10 days.

i will however at least try my best and also will finish the 20 yaşıma mektup today or tomorrow.

i can’t get into a book unless i’m 100 pages in… like after that i can finish anything within 2 days but before that it’s like hell

it’s gonna be an interesting ride considering everyone on the internet labeling this book as a ‘must read’ and i already have related in so many ways, in my own terms, but still.

THEY SEND HIM AWAY TO BE CHOPPED??? AND BOUGHT ALCOHOL WITH THE MONEY PEOPLE GAVE FOR HIM? this is some messed up shit. the only thing that’s messier than this is that these are all true. all the gaslighting and lies and the greed… they’re all true… we are all slaves in a world we must work for ‘ourselves’ for our own ‘freedom’

very good start imo. makes me want to try to look for the freedom i gave up a couple months ago.

why does every fictional professor sleep with a student… i don’t know if that’s the reality but i don’t want to read about a man upsetting a woman with another woman, especially in the middle of an existential crisis of an alien becoming human.

it’s making me realize how important it is for humans to feel, emotionally and physically.

it’s explaining how society works and how some stuff are unnecessary for its members. it has a sarcastic tone and for me it’s also a bit too cocky so i was a bit annoyed but we’ll see how it goes.
