I'm actually over halfway, but I won't be making much linear progress for a while, might switch to % next

My grandmother has read this book and she liked it, I had to shut her up cause I don't want the spoilers.

What a first sentence! I'll read this on my flight today cause the other one I kinda wanna be highlighting and that isn't very practical.

Without counting all the books we've read ahead, 1 Kings is done now and I figured I'd update. Samuel, Kings and Chronicles is so so tough, there are so many names and they are all similar, I am struggling to know who is who haha

I need this to be over soon or I will be over soon

this is a struggle, so much irrelevant stuff happening all in one go and with no proper indication of when someone is speaking, I want it to be over already :')

Ok, this is going pretty well

there are only 1303 pages of actual text, the rest is footnotes, maps, history and word definitions, some are before and some are after

so technically I am over 20% through

great fun, I love this book, I've not been this hooked in a while

of course not going through it in a linear way, so I have already read parts further ahead, but this is where we are at with the main readings, done with 1 Samuel today:)

it isn't the first weekend I tell myself this, but I'd like to get done this weekend lol I am really liking it but it just seems to me that I have been reading this forever.

Also, if this were IT and I had still 500 pages to go, I might go insane so idk when I'll get to that. But getting to know Derry in this book definitely has me wanting to go read IT soon:)
