Good but slightly dated feeling — the circumstances, early 20th century time period and setting of the story may not feel relatable. I really liked the struggle with academia that the MC had. I liked the relationship he sought out with a fellow professor because his wife was so unbelievably mean. The internal politics in academia around students not being prepared and academic dishonesty all felt relatable to me.
