I am so irritated by the need authors have of injecting their current cultural ideas into books, for example: ch 3 “I liked that my uncle had an even number of women to men in the lead group which Itsvan never did.” “X” is about to start a mission where people will die and she cares about inclusivity? And then ironically the only way she can win the fight is with a man’s help (warwick) 😂

I just can’t, so boring. I thought I would put it aside and come back to it but seriously who really thinks that hard about lettering! Dnf

I’m still not digging it. How is hand lettering this interesting? It’s not.

I don’t usually do this “updating” but wanted to put down my impressions. The writing is atmospheric, kind of a dreamy, airy narrative and I’m not sure I like it. At this point I feel angst, and not the good kind. The kind that feels like it’s there for no reason at all, immature angst.

But she absolutely had a sense of independence, not to mention sweet curves, a sexy smile, and deep blue eyes that revealed a haunting vulnerability and a not-so-hidden pain.” And its this writing that gives me a hint that I just won’t like this book.... just not a Jill shalvis fan I guess.
