Pretty cool again so far, I’m more confused than ever because it keeps talking about things that have already happened and then jumping back into the present and then jumping back to the past. And then it randomly decides to mention something that hasn’t even been discussed yet like someones death. Like ok chill🫠

Also side note, I have heard about most of the men in the company so far and the most tragic is Major Major Major’s story. Like the poor guy was named Major Major but for the first half of his life his dad convinced him his name was Kaleb. And then as he went throughout life everyone avoided him. And they do that in the army as well😭

There’s so much going on all at once but it all kind of circles back to the same stuff day in and day out for these folks. Im starting to get the idea that the Catch-22 (the thing keeping these poor men in the army) is being used however the government wants.

One thing I have taken away from this is that the abstracts however short they are, seem to require just as much if not more thought than the rest of the paper.A new perspective brought about would be that graphical abstracts are on the rise. Which makes sense because some people are visual learners, but having that visual aspect along with a textual aspect is really helpful. However if I saw one I would be lost.

Not gonna lie I seriously thought that the end was coming after they had defeated the weird bat creature thing. Come to find out I wasn't even close to being done with this book. Only to have a whole nother plot twist (didn't see that shit coming) when I found out the MC was a long-lost princess (shocker!) and the general of her supposed father's army is in love with her (Twist of the century ik!)

I think it's so far really well written and informative, unfortunately I have to read this for class so some of the writings are falling flat. Especially the way I have basically already taken a class on this book (PLAS 215?). I do have multiple questions however when it talks about not having any flowery words, but words that even a new scientist can understand, but what about an emerging scientist?
