Ok can I just say. What is it with these authors and the complete personality regression of main characters. I felt the same way at the end of the throne of glass series with Rowan.

Specifically for Warner, the author has somehow completely forgotten that we spent the first 3 books (first trilogy) growing him into a good person. All of a sudden he cares about nobody but Juliette and is a total asshole.

So far I’m loving the poetry of this book. The only thing is I think it gets in the way of the plot. Her inner dialogue very much fits a girl who grew up in isolation and reading a lot. I think I’ll get sick of the style of writing if it continues the whole time. My hope, based off the author’s beginning note, is that Juliette will slowly find her voice and become one with the story.
