Been putting this one off for a while for fear of compounding the heaviness that I already feel working as an oncology nurse; but less than 100 pages in and the joy I feel outweighs the sorrow. I love my profession and these stories are reminders of why and how we do what we do, even when it feels impossible. Nurse Hadley’s writing is so comfortable and familiar; it echoes the voice in my head after a long day.
