okay, i've seen people raving about this on booktok on and off for the last 2 years... now that i'm more than half way, this is turning into a classic case of "am i even reading the same book as you people???" from the first page i knew the writing was...not great. i've been trying to push through hoping for something, but if this doesn't get better asap, it's going to be my 2nd DNF of the year.

i was LOVING this up until about 75% when my least favorite trope ever came into play and I immediately DNFd, that turn in the plot just made me just instantly loose all interest in the story. This book is not my typical genre but I really did love it- right up until I didn't.

i'm loving this so far, this is what I was hoping crescent city would be!

this has been on my TBR for a long time... hopefully it pulls me out of this reading slump that I fear will never end

I skipped over these when I first read Magnolia Parks bc I was just drowning in BJ & Magnolia's story and didn't want to come up for air.. excited to dive back in!

I put this on the back burner a few weeks ago and I don't know why I did that because once again, Keri Lake has me in an absolute chokehold and I am eating this up.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book yet... but one thing I do know is that Kai is 100% carrying this book on his back
