Instead of reading spooky books this fall season, I’m reading books I’ve been afraid to read. Either because I’m afraid the hype was overhyped and I’ll hate it or because I’m afraid it’ll gut punch me emotionally. So…wish me luck!

Ugh I hope this gets better. So far this is the most basic why choose with the FMC that should be a strong bad ass crying every time someone hurts her delicate feelings. She’s bullied by her peers and the men we are meant to see be her mates at some point? It feels juvenile. And if I have to read that tears pricked her eyes one more time, I’m going to prick my own out!

Ok the overall story is getting better, but this dumb jealousy coming from the FMC is just LAME! She’s an almost 30 year old mother who was married all these years but wants to let her bottom lip tremble over the possibility that the MMC may have gotten laid in his 30 some years?? Please end this idiocy!!

Dear god if this doesn’t get any better…. Come on FMC!! He doesn’t want you cuz “he can’t”? Tell him to take a flying leap and do you!! You’re almost 30 and he’s almost 40. This is why I hate these types of books!!

Omg this is why I moved to MM and stayed there. If I have to read this woman say, “I didn’t know why I said those words.” Or “I had no idea what he said but they sounded like the truth.” I’m going to gag!! Is she just stupid? For not knowing anything, it’s a wonder she can breathe on her own. I know for a fact that intelligent women can be written…I’ve read books that prove it! Come on!!

Only to chapter 2 but I am INTRIGUED!! Whew I have a feeling this is going to be quite the ride!

I’m struggling, unfortunately. I probably should have started with this and not with the monstrous series because this is just so lackluster for me that I’ve kinda pushed it to the back burner.
