Need an easy read right now, and some pure entertainment

It reads fast and is interesting but I'm quite unsettled by the fact they first met (due to no fault of his, I guess) when she was a small girl, and she grew up essentially experiencing what could be called grooming? "Henry wearing a tuxedo, undoing the studs of his shirt with shaking hands on my eighteenth birthday." 😱

"Henry is glancing around us, worrying that readers, coworkers are noticing us, searching his memory and realizing that some future self of his has met this radiantly happy girl standing in front of him. The last time I saw him he was sucking my toes in the Meadow."
Say what now? 😂

"Standing outside with seven enormous shopping carts to transport through the snow to his brother's apartment, soaked in sweat and also freezing, feeling foolish and afraid and a little crazy, Hua at the edge of every thought."
This book deserves every single one and all awards.

I think this "A Year in January" novella is about being audhd 🫣😅

Haha girl, it's ok to sit with it. But I get it

I really liked the first story but why did it have to finish so abruptly?

For some reason the "oi" she keeps saying really bugs me

It's a slow one. I haven't gotten into it yet and don't even look forward to reading it, but it suits so many of my reading challenges that it's a shame not to finish it 🤣
