Finished this last Friday. Blew through this book. Has me really hyped for the series. Started the second book today.

Whoops. I forgot to updated. This was a fun book. Twist was a bit expected, but lead up to it was good!

Really good book. Excited for the next to come out

Jade city but with alchemy rather than jade. Enjoying it so far

May I have some more sir? 700 pages was not enough. This series is going to take at least 4 more years to finish and that pains me. This book was so good, really hard to put down and it felt like it stepped into its own, where the last book did feel like it pulled very similar threads to red rising.

Finally got back to this one. It was good. A lot of lore built up I feel like, more excited for the next book

Part 3 bingo bongo. Got 2 weeks to finish this book because then I’ll be leaving Sweden

Good ending. Left it open ended but I’m happy they did

Onto part 2. All gas no brakes.

Good ending. Really excited for the next part. Still some over confidence gripes with the main character, but it’s starting to cool off so felt good to finish some of the character growth.

Slightly confusing start, but picking up pace already!!

First 10-15% was rough. Main character was over confident and very angsty. After though, the character gets better and the story also deepens

Good book. Honestly didn’t know if it needed to continue, but glad the author did. Ready for the last book of the trilogy at the end of the year

Yeah I’m back. Took some time off reading but back at work so expect more updates.

Finished this book mid flight from Hokkaido to Kyoto. Raw dogged the rest of the flight with just my thoughts about this book. I thought this book was good, I don’t really see the hate it’s getting, though I see what people mean where the characters repeat themselves a bit too much. I would personally say babel > katabasis>= the poppy wars

It was really good! The middle was where it picked up but cool to see the world be built throughout.

Finished halfway on my flight back. Brutal didn’t have anything else to do. Such a good book loved all the twists that you learned with the main character.

Took this book with me to Chamonix. Wow I really like the prose and mystery of this book. Looking forward to learn more about 16

Frustrated. Had 2 hours left but only an hour until my book was returned. Waiting to reborrow.

Good audio read. A lot of time travel for it to work out, but liked that it was a set timeline not one that was changing due to decisions made
