I like the way things are changing in the book. Mary is still insufferably insecure but also painfully relatable. I hope she continues to grow as a character. Now she is back at Longbourn, I’m curious to see what happens between her and the Collins’

I’m happy for Charlotte, she can live life knowing she has security. As for Mary, I’m curious to see where her staying with Lizzie will go. I hope with her father gone and her venturing out without her mother that she can make big changes.

Mary just gets worse. Girl you were told multiple times you’re an ass singer and still chose to sing in front of the party. Literal clown behavior. I get it she has mental issues from being cast aside so much but like damn come on dude, not everyone is trying to sabotage your attempts to look better than everyone else, even when they definitely should try more

Why must Mary go and frustrate me like that. She has such an obnoxious sense of superiority that nags me. I understand where she’s coming from being the center of so much jesting but my god can she really make herself look like a douche. I hope she grows as a character in the book.

I just adore Mary so far. I see myself so much in her. I just got to the part where she’s started writing the compilation for her dad and it’s just so bittersweet that she’s doing such a thoughtful thing to win his affection. Also, John Sparrow just seems so sweet and charming. I hate hate hate her mother and her younger sisters so far. Can’t wait to see where this goes

What the fuck is this book? Why is Elphaba romantically involved with everyone?! Might as well give us a BoqxElphaba section. The fuck.

What the fuck was the philosophy club scene with the Tiger. Hated that shit.

I am loving the differences between the stage production, film and book. I was hoping to get more about Elphie’s childhood before we went to Shiz, but still just as amazing.

I’m really liking the pacing of this book so far. It feels a bit cliche and I feel as if I know what events are probably going to take place but as of right now I really enjoy the book
