Actually started on Labor Day — really liking getting back into fantasy and multi-book series but will say you should bulk read the first 100 pages before stopping because that’s def what helped me sink into the world. Quite complex and fun!

I started this book earlier in June FYI — and it’s a certified banger. Learning a lot about the Iranian revolution. It’s got a bunch of POVs but they are clear and not confusing so I love it.

Also tid bit is that I bought this book in Seattle because I want to name my future daughter Aria and it seems topical to learn abt Iran rn

I want like the MC bc it’s her narration but she keeps Digging Down into bad actions and self-soothing lies. It’s so good but I know I would never be able to make myself physically read this because I cant do cringe but i just keep going here

Halfway through and now diving into cancel culture — Im cringing at the MC for being evil in her own way but also feel bad for the horrors

This book makes me sick and I can’t stop listening. Very accurate to publishing industry and skin crawling to hear about a white woman self-justifying her shit actions

This white woman is vampiric and horrible this book is excellent

Audiobook slay — it’s so fun listening to this as a part of the publishing industry. And hearing two white women butcher an Asian woman’s post-mortum novel in real time is almost as sickening as the early on choking-to-death scene.

The audiobook version is so immersive. If you like Interview with a Vampire you’ll love this.

Aaaaaaaaand my audio book of choice rn. I binged this series in a month and so far my favorite thing abt the book by comparison is how much kinder Drogo is. The narrator DOES pmo a little because he keeps mispronouncing named (called Little Finger Pet-ir not Peter like it clearly is) but alas I shall take what I can from Libby 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

I wish this book had been taught in my international studies or english class in college it’s a very very interesting story on the occupation of Palestine.

Extremely fire. The two POVs is manageable, but im wondering if theyre happening at the same time or if one is chronologically later than the other? Like the detective is lowkey lagging behind I think? Idk but the book is fire

Very fire - I bought this book for $20 to cope with my flight being delayed and losing a day of my vacation in the process, and I don’t regret it.

This book is kicking me in the teeth my GOD. I’ve almost cried at least 6 times already.
