I got a few days behind on this because of Birthday Shenanigans, and when I looked up the day 9 song on YouTube to listen to it as I read I noticed a lot of comments on the video saying things like "Hiii Bookclub!!" " Hi morning readers! Enjoy day 9!" and things of the like. Ngl I was momentarily stunned by how overwhelmingly cute that was.

We've hit the part where both Prowl's and Quark and Rev-tone's death flags have started waving and YEAH I did cry about it. I legitimately do not think any fiction deaths have ever hit me as hard as these 3.

I want to make fun of the level of mania in which I am bringing to this book reading experience but I feel like I'm jumping the gun since Gen. Mech orders open this month. We can't even TALK about crazy until I get my hands on that book.

I'm so sorry please prepare for a massive cited review on how INCREDIBLY and JARRINGLY bad this book is. (we love it when people cite debunked and discredited studies and force unrelated datasets to apply to their theories while ignoring heavily related studies. AND SURPRISE ITS TRANSPHOBIC AND IS BASED ENTIRELY ON GENDER DETERMINISM)

Every time I think the crazy amount of foreshadowing is gonna kill me then Drift and Ratchet talk to each other and I realize NO THIS IS WHAT WILL KILL ME. Reading MTMTE, Eugenesis and Sins of the Wreckers at the same time is like "James. How many times are you gonna make me read about robots having babies? And in how many different ways?"

Not to be a freak but I do think The Red Rust arc is my favorite arc. It's like a solid tie between that and the Killswitch arc. Like who doesn't love a plague that makes you die via crying yourself to death? And Pharma! Everyone loves Pharma!

I got to a Quark and Rev-tone scene and had to immediately stop. I'm nowhere near the sad stuff yet I just am already mourning them.

I feel like I blocked out the majority of this book. Every single page has me inconsolable and almost nothing has happened yet. It's just the MTMTE/LL association boiling my brain until its NOTHING. Even worse I've only seen Rodi, Rewind, and Ratchet so far. The SECOND I get to Quark, Rev-tone and Prowl I will be sobbing uncontrollably.

So, my epub shows as 909 pages and this listing is for 280 pages which means I'm making up the percentages as I go. Anyway... Hi. I'm back in the building again. 11 years... 5th reread... James Roberts haunts me
