Really I admire the ambition of a multimedia effort (music, audio, silly voices), but the first time a chapter played off a storyline to ambient noise, I almost swerved into a ditch and thought I'd finally come undone mentally.

Listening to the audiobook and yeah, it's a great book, but the litany of funny voices is taking me out.

Diva, where have you been? My Mike Davis loving heart needed this sexy, wry, utterly brilliant find. Good lord.

It's very weird when a book gives you ptsd flashbacks to the worst person you've ever worked for (sad to say for my own plot, which is harebrained enough, this was NOT Elizabeth Holmes). But! It's also clarifying.

I guess we're still into long, meandering, and wholly unnecessary discursions on theory and academia.

Easily the book I shall be pointing to the next time someone laments how "no one writes about weird women" — Lisa is clearly quite mad, to say the very least.

Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that this book is going to be a redux of my experience reading THE NIX....

You know when you hit the first page and know you're about to have a truly transformative reading experience that reverberates through time and space and soul? That was 49 pages and an hour ago, and I already don't want the first time reading this book to end.

I really should've taken out stock in BIC highlighters to read this one
