This book healed something in me as a black girl who grew up in the suburbs. I grew up around more black people but black boys liking black girls wasn’t even heard of in the suburbs, it’s not even seen in literature, the suburban black girls always end up with white men so this is really good representation.

I really want to love this book but I’m afraid it may be one of those that I read and forget about bc it moves so fast. I’m definitely more of a slow burn girl so this isn’t my usually read but so far I’m very indifferent idk…
