So good so far. Had nerves because I’m not a parent and wasn’t sure how much would be applicable, but the content is good, and I’m enjoying it!

Ok I know people get mad about HP slander…but how many times do Voldemort/his followers have to cause distress in the wizarding community for people to believe that he’s actually back?

Like, yes he’s back. He’s been back in every single book??? Right?? (Or at least followers were)

Also, how many times will Harry face unthinkable danger, and defeat it with the power of friendship?

Pretty good still. Taking a break as I’m reading through the spirituality chapter.
It is clear that I have a different worldview from the author, so there are parts of the book that don’t resonate with me.

HOWEVER, he creates a compelling case for ditching the smart phone (especially for adolescents), and provides enough data to suggest that social media really just isn’t a good thing. Very interesting.

Rocking my world so far. Pretty convicting as well, given that I am in the age demographic that was first affected by the rise in smart phones/social media. I’m seeing a lot of my childhood/teen years in the writing, and up until this point, would have said I was especially protected from these dangers at that age.

Started this as a last Hail Mary to reach my reading goal for the year. Unfortunately, I can’t read 6 books in one day.

But it is ok to set a goal and not make it. So I will wrap this one up and have a good start to 2025.

Picked this up because my students love it. Definitely a great read so far.

Plugging away at this - it’s my fault for thinking I can read a 600 page book in one week. Very behind on my reading goal now.

For whatever reason, my copy is not on Goodreads and my last update said I was only 7% through?? Silly.
Anyway. Things are really heating up. Will report back tomorrow with more updates.

I’ve been reading this book for over a month. I am miserable and hate it. I am too far in to quit. 4 books behind on my reading challenge because of this litter box of a story.
