Great writing but I find my self not liking any of the characters, just ones I hate less

The authors writing a book where a character is reading the journal that another character wrote in the first person. Grrr

Good stuff all around

The man is doin it again, with Vikings this time, creating a separate world with slight connections to the old one. Great descriptions of the culture and solid introduction to the stakes of the story.
