At the outpost with the wrecked steamer, the MC reminisces about a Scotchman he new who believed Martians existed and would fight you if you so much as laughed at his ideas. Really funny reflecting on the same experiences I have had with my elder family and chemtrails. It really shows that the Western experience is very similar post-Industrial Revolution and colonization.
