I hate (some) men with a passion reading this book so far.

BRO THIS BOOK NO I CANT

«One could not count the moons that shimmer on her roots, or the thousand splendid suns that hide behind her walls.»

god 💔

«Because a society has no chance of success if its women are uneducated, Laila. No chance.»

OH WHAT😭

«She pretended that for each second that she didn’t breathe, God would grant her another day with Jalil.» 😭🥺

Starting to get interesting and I catch myself wanting to know what’s happen next now.. BUT, my GOD how much some of Plaths racist slurs annoy me. PLS.

«The face in The mirror looked like a sick indian», girl what?😐🫥.. that description is questionable💀

Ugh this world is a mans world isn’t it.. I just feel
bad for my girl :(

So far.. I catch myself drift off a lot while reading and I don’t think that would happen this much, if I found the novel interesting enough. It does catch my attention sometimes, but I feel disappointed at this moment, especially because everyone keeps saying everyone should read this book atleast once in their lifetime 🥲..

Reading this before sleeping is not a good idea.. how am i supposed to put the book away 😃

part 1✅… on to the next..

The way Shafak is describing how trees and plants feel… I am about to cry, no joke.

So far.. so incredibly beautifully written. Can’t wait to see where this story takes me :’)

Usually, I make sure to update or note things along the way, but reading this book?.. I can’t get myself to. I can’t put the book down, and my heart skips a bit by every single page.

So far I’ve been catching myself wanting to know what’s going to happen next! Really good book so far🥺

Oh, ok.. a bit MORE suspense here okaayy..

Ok cute whatever.. just a teeny tiny bit.. and a little suspense, but it’s reminding me a little about a «A Good Girls Guide To Murder» which was not my type of reading at all..

My God I’m so so bored..

NOO WHAT AN EVIL HUMAN😭
