Not as good as Gentleman in Moscow so far. Towles tries too hard to make it sound like it was written in 1938. Too much outdated slang and do we really need to use the diet n-word?
It’s heavily inspired by (or at least similar to) A Tree Grows in Brooklyn but without as much charm. I’m not a DNF-er but it better start getting good soon.
