so far, i enjoy the pacing of this one much more than the previous two books. but, that’s probably because all the characters so far are already known.

i love that, in this book and the previous, characters are just so casually queer and married to those in the same gender despite the time period. and no one blinks an eye! it's so refreshing cause it isn't used to define the characters nor to, like, 'win brownie points.'
