It’s been a minute since the last book. I’m having to reacquaint myself with the storyline.

I’m enjoying the book so far but there’s this weird POV shift happening. And not just from 1 character to another but also 1st person to 3rd, it’s a tiny bit off putting.

There’s more guys.

I did not know what I was getting myself into with this book 😮‍💨 There’s a lot going on.

What did I just read?
Nothing could have prepared me for that kitchen scene.

I was wrong, I was sooo wrong.
She’s certifiable.

Im both annoyed and sympathetic with the MMC.
In fact I’m getting the same feelings I had when reading ‘Beautiful Ugly’ by Alice Feeney. And if you know how that one ends, you know I don’t like where this is going.

2nd book I’ve read with this podcast structure and I don’t hate it. Allows for a lot more POV’s without making things feel scattered.

Reread:
Can’t help picturing the actors that have been cast in the adaptation. It’s more vivid.
The writing leaves quite a bit to be desired. Have a feeling the movie’s going to be better than the book.

I’m not enjoying this as much as I thought I would. The wife defending the cheating husband and still wanting to jump his bones is insane. I need her to grow a spine.

Also, I want to throttle the mother-in-law.

Was 🤏🏽 close to DNF’ing, but momma didn’t raise no quiter.

This girl has no sense of self preservation, and it’s pissing me off.

I’m not loving this, it feels like a knock off version of Frieda McFadden’s ‘The Housemaid’. Not literally of course, it was published years before.

This might be the best audiobook I’ve listened to. Top tier narrators 👌🏽. I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time.

The format is unique. I’m listening to the audiobook and the set up is so weird I can’t imagine reading it.
