It’s an excellent historical fiction book about the Spanish flu which I had known very little about. I really like all the 6 characters in the family who they interweave into the narrative thru out the book.

Great! I like how it breaks down the different parables in the chapters. At times the author is a bit repetitive when explaining each word in the parable, but she doesn’t leave out any interpretation. Because she is Jewish, you may not agree with every interpretation but it makes you think what it was like in biblical times.
