The romance feels quick and one-sided, there's no real tension between them... this reads like a really well written Finnick and Katniss fanfic (with Finnick possessing Peeta's obsession with Katniss). Not bad, just... unsatisfied so far.

Altan is an asshole. Damn. Was really hoping he’d be fine af. But also see where he’s coming from, he’s just Rin gone bad.

Throughout the story I keep thinking of Runin = Ronin, a samurai without a master who follows their own code. Rin has the makings of a mass murderer, this girl really said kill the kids 🫠 I think she’s going to use victims of the war as “blood fuel” for Mr. Phoenix.
