I have now finished book 1 (Ensnared) and I have some thoughts. I have read this book before a few years ago but rereading it now, oh lord. this book slaps so hard. I adore Ketahn and Ivy so much, they are so adorable it hurts. I'm going to start book 2 tomorrow, I'm so excited.

I cant get over the fact this whole ass book takes place over the course of like....a month. its such a short amount of time and yet my brain is like "oh they will graduate at the end of this!" lol naw dog its still like....the start of the school year still and this is literally all for home coming.

ok so, I realize I am far to critical of characters negative traits and bad choices. as much as they bother me they are also the things that are learning experiences for the character.

Jeremy hurting those around him feels like pulling teeth to read but I recognize that without him screwing up and doing this he will never get to that happy ending. he needs to learn from this. character development and what not.

This book is actually making me insane. why are teenagers so horrible to one another? I mean I am still technically a teen but for the love of god I don't understand why everyone, especially in Middle and high school took everything so seriously. I mean I wont deny I was depressed at the time and going through a mess and a half mentally and maybe that made me a jerk from time to time. it was never that serious

good god is Jeremy a jerk. I understand why he acts the way he does but its making me crazy. He needs therapy...and so does Lukas tbh. I hate society and how it makes people feel like sharing emotions and being honest isn't "masculine" enough. I also hate that we live in a society where needing accommodations in classes bc ur neurodiverse is considered shameful or that you are giving up.

The miscommunications and the angst in this book is currently causing me physical pain. I wish they would just talk it out already but I guess I will just have to wait.


god I'm so glad I am done with high school, we really took ourselves far to seriously back then (and by back then I mean like two years ago bc I did college in high school instead of senior year.)

I already know the drama of this is going to make me crazy. How in the hell is shit already hitting the fan 71 pages in? ughhhhh god don't make anything bad happen to my girl Lark....or at least don't make it anything like horrific (although considering all the murder I wouldn't actually be shocked if it was mildly horrific)
