Ivan's explanation to his brother Alyosha regarding the suffering of children and how it shapes his religious views, followed by his prose "The Inquisitor" is some of the most compelling and moving narration inked to paper.

While the author is a bit too flippant in their narrative for my taste, I am finding their connection between Dante' s Inferno and the modern Christian understanding of Hell rather fascinating.

Richard More is my 11th great grandfather, and it is interesting to learn of the seemingly dismal situations in England that is going to cause him to be on the Mayflower as a young boy.

Keeps it's magic no matter how many times I read it. Though I love the book, I do think the movie created a better character of John Hammond than the mean old man of the book.

Some good research placed on the idea that a positive attitude or "growth mindset" can increase the development of intelligence and personality. A lot of exciting classroom application found within as well!

Great story so far, though the foreshadowing has been way too heavy handed, even for a young adult novel.
