Israelites viewed Yahweh differently than surrounding Nations viewed their gods in that:
- There were no images of Him
- Originally didn't disqualify other gods existence, just that they weren't to be worshiped
- His gender was almost exclusively shown in pronouns and not other masculine qualities
- He did new things rather than guaranteeing the same thing kept happening i.g. flooding the Nile
