Wow, yes. I wanted to slow clap when I finished this book. What a beautiful, well written story.

Debating whether to finish this or not….

Been waiting for this!!

It’s taken over a week to get thru a quarter of this book. It’s huge! The beginning felt like they threw you in the deep end and you had to learn what was happening.
It’s finally starting to pull me in a little, but wow this is a full time job you need to study for.

The writing is….. not great. Hanging in there in hopes the story takes off and shows why a lot people seem to like this book.

It’s throwing me off that I FMC sounds quite young and the MMC sounds like a war hardened cigarette smoking 50 year old man. I know he’s a vampire, but still….

A third of the way in and haven’t learned a single thing I didn’t know from the synopsis. Fingers crossed!

This book was like meeting a handsome, charming man that seems perfect for you on paper- but there’s just no spark. I was all for the unrealistic concept of the book - but something about everything from the story to the banter was just missing something that keeps you from loving it. The next time I read about a city girl that just needs her old paint and canvas to feel her feelings, I might chuck the book.

This book is 850 pages long….. gonna take awhile.

This book needs to PICK A LANE. I’m getting whiplash.

I could have listened to a whole book from Marcellus the Octupus. The rest of the story/characters were fine.

One of the most anticipated books of the year…. And I’m struggling a bit….

I’ve been listening to Nesta be a brat for 4 hours…. Hope something changes soon.

Really hoping this gets more interesting….
