why am i reading so slowwww??
i genuinely thought i got out of my slump, but i'm doing anything but reading. and i also feel so bad because i'm really enjoying this book, but i can't pick it up for the life of me 😔

do i put it on pause and choose another book, or push through?

i know i just did an update a little while ago, but i am so confused. are these new characters? it's set a few years after the last chapter, but the characters are children and have completely different names. i'm so confused, but also really intrigued...😭

I had forgotten what it was like to be watched when speaking-not stared at, not looked at, but regarded. From the way his chin dipped to fully consume my vocalized thoughts to the precise manner of his gaze never leaving my lips in order to catch every word.

i'm confused, bored, and not really interested in reading this...

i do like the magic in this book, and i am only 50 pages in. but does it get better?

i've never done this before and i don't want to start now, but i think i'm going to put a pause on this because i'm REALLY struggling to read literally ANY book i pick up. i'm loving it so far, but i can't for the life of me pick it up and read. i'm also getting very nervous that i'll soon be behind on my reading goal which makes me so sad...

anyways, i'm hopefully going to come back to this.

I wasn't lonely.
It was more that I was...invisible. Everyone else in the world seemed to have their full and busy lives, and my tiny little existence happened outside their jurisdiction. I exchanged conversation with customers and co-workers, and they seemed to like me, but I was alone in my personal life.
And sometimes it felt like I'd been that way for a very long time.

I was never at ease in social situations. Ever. I overthought each word that was spoken and worried too much about the tiniest details. I stressed over what everyone was thinking about me, how I looked, what I was doing.
