Connie Redfield > Recent Status Updates

Enjoying it so far, but the one thing I will say that is driving me up a Gothic Victorian wall is that every chapter told from the father’s POV ends with some variation of an ominous “but we didn’t know how wrong we were”, which I just find so odd. I didn’t notice it at first - normal foreshadowing is fine. But…yeah, it’s past the appropriate frequency level and I’m hoping it stops soon!

Honestly the only reason I’m not farther into this book is just life and time. I can’t explain how much I have needed this book in my life. I am not Native nor from the Midwest and I am a terrible gardener, but the way Wilson writes makes me feel so connected to Rosalie and the characters.

Seemingly a slower start than the previous 2 in the series but the puzzle pieces are definitely starting to align. I have a very broad theory but I hope I’m wrong (I usually am!)

Couple of thoughts:
1. I’m soooo glad I am experiencing this book on audio
2. I am pretty curious how they are going to make this into a movie
3. I probably would die for Rocky
