i’ve had this book on my tbr for so long and i’m in a ya mood after the spirit bares its teeth so i thought this would be a good read

wow how fitting that i'm reading this as the hunter episode comes out on the heated rivalry show ! the episode lowkey spoiled at least half the book but it's okay. also the show is so good it's such a great adaptation omg

listening on audio bc i couldn't really get into it but i'm determined to finish it

i'm finally gonna finish this series

yes i'm reading this again but it's in preparation for mate !! i hope it lives up to how much i loved the book the first time i read it though

i had the urge to come back to this book but the way rowan thinks is pissing me off like can bro think about anything other than boobs for 2 seconds like it is currently chapter 2 let's chill. to be fair though this is the exact kinda book that would do this so idk what i thought it would be going in but like still omg

i just made up that number but i just wanted to say i didn't realize this was about the author when i first started reading this and i was like wow i can't believe this happened to this guy come to find out it's fictional 🙃 anyways this is very different from my usual reads but i saw casey aonso's review for it and then i read the desc and it sounded interesting so yeah

i lowkey wanna continue the poppy war series but this book is gonna expire in like 5 days so i have to finish it first

also the premise of this seems interesting but going from the straightforward writing in the poppy war to the more metaphorical one in this book is making me feel like this book is so much harder to read like i feel illiterate

i lowkey don't like either of the characters in the main couple 💀💀💀 luc is like way too self-loathy but in a way that makes you wanna shake him and make him think one positive thought and oliver speaks in such a non-human way like i feel like his dialogue is so weird idk

i'm sorry this book is so addicting i can't stop reading it

it's much better than acotar that's for sure

it's lowkey giving knockoff hunger games like this book feels so generic

also this is the first time i've read a romantasy book with split povs so this definitely leans more into the romance than fantasy genre

I swear xaden and violet are so annoying sometimes like why does violet have to ask xaden for him to tell her literally any important information and why does violet keep preaching communication without actually communicating herself omg

anyway enjoying the read so far <3

it started off kinda slow but it's picking up a bit

lowkey i feel like especially at the beginning charlie was kinda being infantilized ??? like it felt like he was a child who didn't know anything about emotions it was weird

but this book is making me remember why i don't normally read straight up romances like idk i feel like mm romances are either hyper sexualized or it's like ya but for adults

i'm so glad kenji was straight up with juliette like i was actually getting so annoyed with her like i sympathize with her struggles but girl get a grip

not even sure if it's good but it's so addicting

idk if i get the hype yet

i feel like reading (and really liking) the cruel prince trilogy before this has set up a certain expectations of what faeries should be and this version is very different so idk we'll see how i like this book

i'm intrigued but idk if i'm entertained

this may not be my type of book !
