Got this far because I was stuck on a flight to Adelaide and didn’t get a chance to download audio book. I enjoy the story but the letter format is tiring. I keep skimming over a lot of the letters so am probably missing out important information. The main character is meant to be a smart lawyer but she’s giving bat shit crazy old lady

Might switch to audio version - heard it’s better. The entire book being in letter format is throwing me off

Why are all females in Yarros books “natural beauties” and “don’t wear makeup” and “only put on a slick of mascara and lip gloss”. I dunno give me someone who at least wears concealer and bronzer, come on.

I can already tell that Charlie will bring her out of her shell and make her see “life is worth living”. Can’t she figure that out on her own and without a man? Going to put this book into the DNF. I understand the main character was cancelled but it just felt very repetitive to be over halfway through the book and she’s still going on and on. The reason she was cancelled was absolutely ridiculous and honestly, it’s very relatable as so many people are cancelled for the smallest thing. It just needed a little more to keep me interested

Reading this for book club before someone comes at me for reading another soft porn book. The flashbacks are annoying as fuck. I don’t care about your dead grandmas love life, please stop going back in time. Also, I don’t get why she’s sooooo weird about selling her grandmas story and how “protective” she is of it. Surely it’s not that deep? Unless there is some huge bombshell I’m not aware of… also, Georgia needs to hurry up and fuck Noah he’s hot. Grow up Georgia

Ok, I haven’t finished this yet. But it has been such a nice palate cleanser after mystical dragon smut. So many conversations between the characters crack me up. Lila is hilarious and it saddens me that only Phoebe gets to see that she has depth and substance. Also, about time Phoebe started living her life. Go get it girl. I hope she gets a dog

Ok I realised I did my review on the audio book version or whatever. Weird, because I’m reading it. I was into this book at the beginning but now it’s just DRAGGING on. Ok ok we get it, war, Elaine’s brain is funny blah blah blah. I just want this book to end so I can start something else. I mean the books aren’t bad but for everyone to be THIS CRAZY over the series, I don’t get it?
