She’s really losing me by lumping Texas into a monolith while discussing her work in Houston. Like the work she does in Houston is very cool but for someone who is clearly so invested in contextualizing I find it incredibly interesting that she acts like working in Texas is abhorrent when many people in Houston (where she is actually doing the work) are in the same ideological camp as her.
